Securepairs.org needs motivated information technology- and cybersecurity professionals to lend their voice to the movement for the right to repair. In the past year right to repair laws were proposed in 26 states.
No cybersecurity risk in right to repair
The bills and the obstacles standing in the way of passage are different in each state, but concerns about cybersecurity, data privacy and hacking are common across regions. Securepairs.org is looking for informed security professionals to be voices of reason: explaining to policymakers and legislators that repairability is not antithetical to security and that repair is not a cybersecurity threat. We want to add our voices to the call for economic and environmental justice that is the right to repair electronics and other property.
